Morton’s neuroma is a painful condition in the ball of your foot most commonly in area between third and fourth toes. It tends to feel like you have a rock in your shoe when standing. This condition involves the thickening of the tissue around one of the nerves leading to your toes. Common symptoms are: sharp, burning pain in ball of foot or toes that sting, burn or feel numb. Treatments can include corticosteroid injections or surgery.
